The electronic invention was created by Japan’s Murata Manufacturing Co Ltd.

According to Murata Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Osamu Onishi, the robot is able to stabilise itself using a rotating disc built into its body.

The gyro sensor, one of three electronic sensors inside the robot, can detect angular velocity and inclination and send signals into its computing system to rotate a disc inside the body to maintain its balance, Onishi said.
